re:think Magazine

About re:think Magazine

re:think, a thought leadership magazine from NCWIT (www.ncwit.org/rethink), advocates for a more diverse, equal, and inclusive technology industry. Gain insights on inclusion from experts who guide our shifting culture, from technologists whose innovations undoubtedly impact our daily lives, and from change leaders who use their positions of influence to reveal the potential in everyone. It’s time to re:imagine the parts each of us play in creating a better future.

My Role

  • Led digital marketing strategies with the social media manager to promote and cross-publish magazine content across online platforms and virtual events.
  • Established an end-to-end workflow for the production of each issue, including brainstorming story ideas and issue themes, recruiting contributors, and imposing milestone deadlines upon the production team of writers, editors, designers, and leadership stakeholders.

2020-21 Deliverables
(View a sampling below.)

  • two magazine issues
  • A series of social media posts were shared across Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for each issue with the potential to reach more than 75,000 followers. By leveraging interpersonal relationships with contributors and NCWIT leadership, this potential reach was amplified through their direct posts.
  • Multiple emails per issue were distributed to more than 15,000 subscribers with an average open rate that exceeded the 25-percent benchmark for the non-profit industry.

Issue 2 | Electronic Flipbook

Explore the second issue, featuring Dr. Jane Goodall, Primatologist; Janine Vanderburg, Director and Chief Catalyst, Changing the Narrative; and Benjamin Jones, Professor of Economics, Northwestern University and Lead of Entrepreneurship and Innovation Efforts,  Kellogg School of Management.
